Hi Kids, me again!
Thoughts on this one? Looks clean... interesting write up too. They really listened to Google about "How to sell a car online."
Thank you in advance.

Respectfully, I would resist the temptation & wait for a 2003-2007 with slightly less miles. The price isn’t bad. Those are the nice comfy front “sport” seats, which are very desirable, only bested by the R seats. But black interior is going to be very hot as far south as you are.
Edit: not a bad list of newly installed parts but if it were me getting into Volvo again or getting into one for the first time I would wait for one with lesser miles. The price listed is more reflective of what you would see for an AWD car/wagon (2003-2007 w/Haldex).

I wonder why would someone replace the whole front end just before selling ? That could be either a good thing or a deal breaker, depending which brands they used: if it's the good ones, may meant they are the kind of people to spend on their cars so a good thing. Don't forget the throttle body and the transmission need be carefully checked on these 2001

If the transmission was taken care of, it's a keeper.
2001 V70 T5's are a lot of fun to drive but a car that old with that many miles means you better like fixing all the "little" crap.
$3K is about right.

Mine is same year, similar mileage but not as sharp. Buy it and enjoy it. All cars need some work.

Looks attractive to me, as long as the transmission is solid. The black interior is not as good for comfort down south, but I put up with a black leather 240 in central Texas for 5 years and it wasn't too bad... you just always had to park in the shade or else suffer.
1997 855 GLT (Light Pressure Turbo) still going strong. Previous: 1986 240 GL rusted out in '06, 1985 Saab 900T rusted out in '95, 1975 Saab 99 rusted out in '95, 1973 Saab 99 rusted out in '94

Personally, I'd avoid it because of well-known 2001-2002 model year transmission issues (or do some research and use those issues as a bargaining chip). Black interior in the south could be a deal breaker, but I guess you could try heat-rejecting window film. Note: I have only read about this stuff. Never used it. Would be interesting to hear from those who may have actually used it

Here’s the scoop on the 2001 trans, Beth.
The car came from Sweden with a neutral stop software that was problematic. Most every car had it removed by the dealer as a recall item. If the car drives and shifts without flares or jerks, it’s fine.
3k for a T5 in that condition is a good price, you get a free MVS membership too!
Tell the boss you are getting tested for Covid and go close the deal
