HALDEX SEIZED OR NOT?

Post by mirage »

I am fixing major issues on my 2004 s60R while taking the engine out I had the transfer box out. I checked it and noticed if I turned the output shaft there was no movement on the input bevel gear. After stripping the housing, I noticed both gears where shot I thought this was due to a bearing collapsing . Now all has been replaced and while tightening the prop shaft I noticed that even in neutral I could not turn the prop shaft, is this normal or has the haldex seized?

In neutral, try spinning both front wheels in the same direction at the same time & take note of what your driveshaft does.
