Once it stops working, is it then totally out of commission until you go back to Rudy’s Ripoff Repair Shop? Or will it start working again the next day for a short period and then fail again?

Just as you say. It may be cool for say 5 to 10 miles. If it is a really HOT and miserable day. (maine doesn't have many. Then if I stop and the car has been sitting it might work for a short time again. but not for long.

OK, so when it stops working is the compressor still engaged? Also, when it stop working does the volume of air that is blowing from the vents seem to diminish?Sunnypenny wrote: 27 Jun 2020, 15:28 Just as you say. It may be cool for say 5 to 10 miles. You need to have the clutch gap measured, and if it has worn too large, adjusted back to specSunnypenny wrote: 27 Jun 2020, 15:28 Just as you say. It may be cool for say 5 to 10 miles. If erikv11's bread clip "TEST" works then do the job of removing the shim(s). Careful, if the bread clip works but is too thick and you leave it, the compressor will stay engaged at all times and will be damaged.
