98 s70 glt rough start [P0304 P0305 , swapped plug wires] Topic is solved

Finally got the engine back together. Started up and ran good for about 2-3 minutes. Smelled very rich and idled very rough. It almost seemed as if there was misfiring happening or timing is off.
Turned it off. Added coolant and Checked the oil.
Pulled off the timing cover just because.
Tracks light is on, check engine light is on, arrow is flashing with the e and w button lights.
I’ll pull codes in tomorrow. Codes show mid fire 4/5 as well throttle position sensor.
Any help with any of this would be great!

Brand new plugs wires rotor and cap.

Brands please of the parts as many are not compatible with these engines or can be hit or miss.

All OEM. Bosch cap and rotor, bougicord Volvo plugs.

Pull the plugs on #4 an #5 and check they are not wet. There is another thread running where the owner was having leaking injectors after a re-build.

The fact you have all these issues it could be one of 2 other things and or a bad battery:

1) Electrical portion of the ignition switch. It can cause all sort of mayhem. Did you try switching off and re-starting?
2) I had random lights coming on and weird running and it was the ABS module of all things.

The other thing could be a bad connector or air/vacuum leaks.

Not sure why the TPS is showing as a code.

So dumb! I had the 4/5 switched even after I checked them. So no codes except the secondary air code. Tracs, ABS and service light are on but, I think we can figure those out.
