Did you miss putting the spring into the lower seat?

Here was my blooper of the week....test assembled a brake line with a ratchet wrench...the ratchet part was theblooper

Well, I wish it was that. At first glance I thought that the spring was the same on both sides. I took a calculated guess that observation was right, but boy, am I bad at math :D Once I pulled it apart again, reversed the spring, everything was fine.

Looks like the time I made a tube flare without putting the tube fitting on the tube first.

But if you have the flare tool you can fix that. I had to cut the $15 brake hose to recover my $5 wrench

Looks like a financial decision would have been to cut the $5 wrench off the $15 hose.

Pulled my harmonic balancer, realized the Corteco replacement doesn't actually fit my 99 like the vendor's fitment notes said, put the old one back on. Fun day!

Good lesson to closely inspect old part and new part before taking apart anything.

That's strange. You'd think the Corteco would work fine, I don't think you can even buy a Volvo one anymore. At least not for a reasonable price.

Unfortunately the only options for red blocks now are URO or MTC. Garbage!
