3 part numbers were recalled. I had my 3 tons checked, they are not.

Looks like some of the replacements for the recalled jack stands also have inferior welds.

HF is also accepting returns on ALL jack stands, gift card or cash refund available. I guess they understand at this point why people would feel uncomfortable using them!

Guess it's time to order some more Pro Lift stands. Unfortunately the price went up $5 since last time I bought some.

Defects do slip by after receiving inspection is eliminated. Nobody is watching out for them. Is the commitment to quality, product quality or the quality of the bottom line?

Good point. You gotta give them credit, they have been on top of this. Sure, failures have happened (both the pawl and the welds), but how many? And we know HF sells hundreds of jack stands every day.
Harbor Freight has been very good recently about making sure their quality is up to par. I'm still waiting for them to get those Icon 3/8" flex head ratchets back on shelves, though...
