I just got an email yesterday from FCPEuro and they have a new Volvo specific scan tool that apparently reads and deals with all kinds of Volvo issues including airbags, etc. For $150 it's pretty tempting. Any opinions on it? There's a video of this too on their site.

Snatched one of these up on Amazon, and it's glorious. Plug-and-play, ease of use, comprehensive and very nicely featured.
With this scanner, I was able to read and clear a troublesome Airbag code on a 2002 V70. It's also capable of connectiong to the rest of the various modules in the vehicle, and that's how I was able to determine that the HVAC controls had a dead spot in one of the dials. Talk about details! It also works well on my 98 S70 as well as the 08 C30 I just bought. Can't comment on anything newer but it should work well for you, judging by your sig. I was actually coming into this forum specifically to let everyone know it's worth it.

I bought one having seen a video online of it clearing the dreaded SRS Airbag light - but so far it fails to do so (yes I know it will come back on if there is a fault, but it would clear first, then come back on, but it simply won't clear). I recall reading that you had to clear something else apparently unconnected first, but cannot now find where I saw this. Since the light only came on when I changed the battery, I don't believe there is actually a fault anyway.

My car had that. There is some error caused by the batterry change that triggers the SRS error. I can't recall what it is, I got it cleared by the shop that caused it. Something like "communication with module" error.

Has anyone feedback on this scanner? Fcp does not sell this anymore. Would like read amongst other things the transmission temperature.
Have way to much problems with my Dice unit and or software. A simple read out of the transmission temperature takes an hour of rebooting, unplugging, disconnecting rebooting the virtual machine and laptop. Mainly due to connection failures.

Reached out to the manufacturer I iCarsoft and they recommend the V2.0 version for a 2006 Volvo V70 and a 2011 Volvo C30.Rvolvos wrote: ↑29 Jun 2020, 22:56 Has anyone feedback on this scanner? Fcp does not sell this anymore. Would like read amongst other things the transmission temperature.

Has anyone pulled the trigger on this? Just got a phantom CEL last week that my generic reader wouldn't touch. I guess with 2 V70's it's time to get the real deal. I'd like something that's plug and play, rather than having to deal with software issues. If this can do 90% of what the fancy softwares can do; that would probably be enough for me.
