Hi all,
I pulled the Bosch ETM on my 2002 V70 turbo to clean it. After replacing it, the car barely runs, VIDA reports immediate misfires on all cylinders. I didn't pay much attention to the way the ETM was oriented, and I'm wondering if I bolted back on in the wrong direction. The bolt hole pattern appears to be perfectly square, so I think it can be bolted in four different ways. Which is the right one? I have it with the sensor to the front. So the attached image shows what it looks like if you are standing at the front of the car and looking down at it. I'm hoping for a quick fix, but if I have it on there correctly, I must have messed something else up.
Thanks for any help!
Lewis

I think it does, thanks. If I'm looking at it right, the ETM is 90 degrees to how I've got mine. The black plastic cover on your ETM appears to be facing the driver's side (US, left-hand steering) instead of facing front. Is that correct?

abscate,
You are a life saver! I may have been dumb enough to put the darn thing in the wrong way three times, but just smart enough to ask for help before I do real damage. I ordered a new gasket after your post last week, so it took a few days for me to get back to it. Got the ETM oriented correctly, and it idles perfectly. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet, but I'm confident that it will be fine when I do.
Thank you so much!
