Dorman Haldex Pump

Anyone have any input on the quality of these pumps? I am considering buying one instead of the genuine Volvo part out of financial necessity, they are about half the price.

Ford/Mercury products used these pumps too so Dorman added them to their catalog.

I'd give the Dorman unit a shot. See if there's a guarantee.
Also, last I heard, Dorman sold only to those with an account.
You may have to order it at a local parts shop. That'll be good as there'll be an avenue for any guarantee claim.

Ford bought volvo to get their awd technology, then got rid of it.
So I was told by a ford owner with a haldex AWD (Ford 500 sedan).

I have used several Dorman products and have had good experiences. All purchased through local on online third party sellers. Dorman does have an extensive website, but does not offer to sell from the website.

I picked one up on RockAuto for $252 CDN to the door. That was the best price I found.
