The splines came out nice!

Right, PWM won't work with a generic aftermarket relay. If there's a dual fan setup from another P2, that module would certainly be ideal. I see no reason you couldn't make that work with your setup.

This is the PWM dual fan control module for later S60, V70 and S80. I order an aftermarket unit because to get OEM Volvo you buy the whole fan assembly.

The same unit is also used on some Fords and Land Rovers. I might of been able to just the FCM for one of them makes. Oh hell it only cost $19.15 if it does not last I don't loose much.

Still need to figure out the pinout. Vida or the EWD does not tell anything. Might need somebody to look at wiring on theirs.

There should be three inputs Power + & - then the violet PWM control line. Four outputs +&- power for each fan. In the pictures I am seeing only six pins. Hope I there is a seventh I do not see in the picture. The seventh could be case ground. Will still need to find out which pin is which.

Yeah, for only $20 it's worth the gamble. I guess I'm not too surprised that VIDA doesn't say anything being that Volvo doesn't sell the part separately. Any chance you may be able to find it in Ford or Land Rover diagrams?

Maybe need to find a Ford or Land rover EWD.

Wait until the FCM gets here. Sometimes the pinout is molded into the connectors.

Twice the number of typical white block cylinders. New Volvo are all 4 cylinders.
I'm surprised nobody has a retrofitted a rear wheel drive Volvo with a Volvo Penta V8. The Penta 6.2L V8 430 is 430 Hp.

I still think of the 5 cylinders as new.
LS (Chevy V8) engine swaps are so cheap and common.

Got the axles installed, looks good.

Fan Control Module came in today. Pins are not marked. I will need to locate some electrical connectors. Anybody got a old twin fan laying around?

Input of the FCM. If I can figure out which one of the big terminals is (+) and (-). I could make a connector out of epoxy.
