2006 V70 wheel fitment

Post by GlennG2759 »

Can anyone tell me if the wheel off a 1996 960 has the same bolt
pattern and offset to fit my 2006 V70?
Thanks,
Glenn

Pull a wheel off each. Look for the Volvo part number on the back side. Post part numbers.

It has the same bolt pattern and center bore so it will fit. Offsets look close enough.

As for the 960 I don't know which wheels they had, but I have 15in wheels from the S70 on my base non turbo 2003 S60 which came with 15in standard - the lug cone is different on the S70 but my S60 bolts fit well. The thing is the wheels need to clear the front calipers. What is the standard wheel size for your 2006 base S60 ? It's written behind the fuel door

I have 235/45 17" Thors that were optioned when original owner bought the car. They look great, but too harsh of a ride, I'll need tires to get thru N.Y. Inspection so I'm downsizing to 16". Someone close by has 16" Mercurius wheels with 205/55 Continentals (almost new) off a 1996 960. $200.00. sounds like a deal to me. From looking around it looks like they'll fit, but will probably just pull one off to see if they fit. Thanks for info.

Our C30 uses 215/45/18. Others have used as large 245/45/18.

Here is the tire calculator. You be surprised what you can get away with size wise. Remember if the tire is 1 in taller it is split half on top and half on the bottom in terms of clearance. The same is true for width.
