Failed glove test

Compression test results :

#1 90lbs
#2 90lbs
#3 130lbs
#4 130lbs
#5 130lbs

Does this look like a head gasket issue, and maybe why I keep failing on the glove test ?

Those numbers are with the engine cold so I imagine it's a little higher warmed up. I'm leaning toward trying the seafoam treatment first in hopes that it might help before thinking about taking on the head gasket job.

Did you try a small amount of oil in cylinders 1 and 2? This should seal rings if they are bad. You could also do the coolant test for exhaust gases.

I just put a little Marvel Mystery in #1 and there was no change at all. So she's warming up right now and I will check at warm temp. But I just checked again and there is no smoke what so ever coming out the tail pipe. She just sits there purring....

No change in compression at hot either. But I did notice a sickly sweet smell when I went into the garage, even with the garage door up.

I would guess rings but if it smells sweet, you need a new gaskeet.
