Hello, new person here. Two years ago I decided to go all-in on Volvo 240s and have now accumulated three of them - I'm done for now though! They all run(ish), and of course I get parts for things that they clearly need, but beyond that I was wondering what things/parts people would (or do) keep on hand as general 240 "bench stock." I mean beyond the obvious things like fluids and filters. Including both things that can be purchased and things to look for at the junkyard.
On one hand, by having three I should often have the ability to swap a part from one to the other if needed. On the other hand, having three means three times as many potential issues so it'd be nice to not run to the parts store or internet every time something pops up. The goal is to have them all in good running order all the time, unless I'm working a specific project on one.
Thanks!
Items for 240 "bench stock"?

Since I have driven 240 Volvos since the 1990's, I can give some suggestions. In no particular order: Door map pockets - they break. Outside door handle assembly (LH and RH). Good seat springs and upholstery. Window scraper rubbers if good ones are found. Fuel pressure regulator. Fuel pumps (external of tank). Good radiators that match transmission type. Front and rear light lens replacements. Water pumps or seal kits. Rear transmission seals. Cam seals. Instrument panels to match your cars. Distributor caps (white caps may no longer be available). Window regulators. Inside door panels and mounting clips. Turbo gauges and tachs (nice extras to install). Carpets and floor mats. HUBCAPS. Wagon rear carpets and side panels. Rear light bulbs and bulb holders. Frame trap components. Starter and alternator maybe. Alternator brushes if you can find them. Belt set. Splash pans if you do not have them (needed driving in wet). Spare relays. Wiper blades. Spare grills. Mud flaps if you can find them. Electric lock actuators. ECM and ignition modules.
Spare vacuum hose assortment. Switches like headlights.
Some of these items can only be found at salvage yards, others should always be new. If you have a storage space, complete parts cars are good to have on hand.
