Was heading out to pickup some family members, and the V70 turned over but would not start. Tried a few times, but no start. Plugged in the code reader, came back with code 340. I cannot find a solid reference to this...but code 343 is a faulty fuel relay.
Anyone know what code 340 refers to?
Recently had to replace a spark plug as the old beast was like chugging along then would ride smoothly, then chug again....Also installed a newer distributor cap and rotor. Still need to replace all the spark plugs, and check resistance on a spare set of spark plug wires just in case the current ones in use are faulty.
Appreciate any/all replies and suggestions!

Is that P0340 read through OBD?
P034x are cam sensor code family , but I’m not sure that code is reported correctly
Have a good,look at your cam sensor wiring and make sure it Is routed like OEM

Yes, from an OBD2 code reader. Attached the reader twice, same code each time, P0340.
Switched out the fuel relay with another working one, that did NOT contribute to the car starting.
I will take a look at the wiring you suggest and report back.

Clean the connector to the Cam sensor(s) and check the wires for shorts and opens.
