A/C Expectations

Post by genhawk21 »

I've been having a good time pointing my IR thermometer at my "new" 1993 wagon's middle vents when the A/C is on. With 100-degree outside temperatures I'm getting high-40s and low-50s on fan speed 3. A little warmer with fan speed 4. I don't have fan speeds 1 and 2. You know why. I'm working up the courage to deal with it.

Anyway I was thinking that this is probably as good as Volvo 240 factory A/C can do. But what do you think?

I think that's great. None of my 240's every had working AC. Enjoy your vintage wagon.

240 Volvo fan replacement is bad, but not very technical. I replaced my fan on '83 245. There are guides for the process online.
