Yes, I still need one. Mine only has rear fog lights, so I'm assuming it'll work on my car. Thank you.

I found this on a Volvo parts website:
"Front spring suspension.
MARKED 4E, 4D, 4F, 5J, 5K, 5P, 7G, 7H, 7J, 15. AF. For marking, see identification plate."

"Front spring suspension.
MARKED 1B, 1D, 1E, 1G, 1H, 1K, 1R, 1S, 1V, 1Z, 2X, 2Y, 2Z, 3A, 3B, 4E, 4K, 4J, 4L, 4H, 4P, 4W, 4S, 4R, 4M, 5A, 5M, 5N, 5L, 6F, 9K, 9F, 11, 16, 18. For marking, see identification plate. 2WD. CH -523577."

My identification plate says 4E. Is there a difference between the two that would cause any problems if the replacement strut volvolugnut has doesn't match what I have on the driver's side?

gnalan, I check the struts this morning and they are not very good. Very minimal resistance to motion in up and down. I don't think you would gain much using these struts. Sorry to get your hopes up.

Someone else have a decent strut?

Thank you, volvolugnut, for double checking them. I do appreciate the help from everyone here.

The whole assembly is bad, bearing, spring, bumpstop, bellows, and strut.

Is there anyone from Ohio on here? If so, would you be able to find me a good, complete, strut assembly at a Pick N Pull yard and pull it for me?

We may need to expand the area to draw from for a used spring/strut assembly. These can ship reasonably.

Anyone have one?

I wasn't sure what the shipping would cost. I thought trying to find someone in Ohio with parts that we could meet up and make things easier than trying to ship it all.

I’d need to look, but I think I have one off a V70. Should be the same fitment. Pretty sure I have all but the spring, but let me check. If your spring isn’t cracked (usually if they crack its ~1/2 of a coil off the bottom) just reuse it.
The strut I (think I) have didn’t look the best, but it also didn’t leak & rode fine.

Turns out I was wrong.

Does have spring, spring seat is good, top bearing plate is good.
I don’t know what shipping will run you, but you can have it (and the LSM) for the cost of shipping.

Quick question. The part number you gave me for the strut doesn't match up with the 4E which is what's on my car. Will that cause me any problems having one side different than the other?

8667253
MARKED 1W, 2L, 2V, 2U, 3C, 3D, 3E, 4D, 4F, 4N, 4Z, 4Y, 5B, 5B, 5C, 5D, 5N, 6J, 6N, 6G, 6E, 7A, 7C, 7B, 7D, 7K, 14. For marking, see identification plate. AWD. CH 523578-.

The LSM I can use, but I'm worried about putting the wrong strut/spring combination on one side and having a different combination on the other side.
