Dear everyone, I am new here and this is my first post.
I have a used 2007 Volvo xc70 AWD. I would like to take better ownership of the vehicle to sustain ownership and improve maintenance.
Please recommend a code scanner my budget is $300.00.

Thank you,
Kevin

Welcome Kevin

The two ends of the spectrum are...

If you just want to be able to read a code you can get a low end a AUTEL scanner from eBay for about $25-30, Or Bluetooth link to a smart phone for about the same

A decent scanner from AUTEL that will read more stuff is about $150

A dice unit is $100, connected a laptop with a download of VIDA is the most powerful solution

Thank you for the reply.
After some additional research I have decided to purchase this item.

iCarsoft Volvo/SAAB OBD-II Multi Systems Scanner Tool, SRS ABS Engine Oil Reset, EPB i906-II New Version

I believe it will suffice as a starter scanner

You can also buy VIDA on a USB drive, or preinstalled on a laptop.
Both require the DICE interface.
