Deskinned the 2005 V70 driver seat , stitched the seam, and reinstalled. Rested with Connolly leather conditioner to get that Rolls Royce smell.

Hmmm - I pondered why my radio wouldn't work after having disconnected battery the day earlier. After about a 30 minute drive it did start-up and now all is working. Maybe this is a security feature? Anyone know what makes it play possum after a battery disconnect?

Ordered new coil packs and plugs for Bertha, my daughters 04' V70. She called me at 10:30pm on Saturday that the car was driving kind of "lumpy", and dash lights were going crazy.
Troubleshooting over the phone seemed to go nowhere, so I decided to grab my Vida laptop and meet her. Glad her boyfriend was with her, as this is any dads nightmare.
Ended up detecting a misfire on cyl. 5, no other symptoms.

I replaced some off brand spark plugs with Volvo plugs today on 2001 V70 T5. I found number 3 plug was loose enough to rock in the in the hole. This may explain the cold start missing I have experienced recently. New plugs are now torqued properly. I also found the pressure side intake tube clamps were not tight.

Swapped out 235/45r17 for 205/55r16 on my '06 V70. The Thors looked great on the car, but what a noticeable difference in the ride with the 16's. I didn't think it would be that much improved. I'll save the Thors for next owner someday, I have the original window sticker with them as a $595.00
option.
option.

Solved an airco problem where the airco stops spewing out cold air and starts giving warmer air. You can feel the compressor engaging, but no cold air.
Found out with some searching that you need to replace an temperature sensor in the interior which monitors incoming air from the airco system. If that sensor gives bad information, the compressor keeps running and the airco lines will freeze up.
