manovlov wants to know about these ECU files... do they add HP, what else are they for, etc.
manovlov, I know a little... they can be used after a manual swap to enable things that the car needs to make it run with a manual, or if the owner installs a larger turbocharger.
Does someone have Tuned .Bin file S70 T5?

Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Ah. The M4.4 Wiki link covers the conversion of an M4.3 car to an M4.4 ECU, but also the main purpose is for being able to adjust settings and parameters and flash a new tune file to the ECU. The focus is on the M4.4 units.
The Bosch M4.4 code has been cracked pretty well, and the -607/-608 files listed are also set up to allow for data-logging, etc to be able to fully tune a car after making changes. Either something as minor as from an auto to a manual, to as major as a fully built engine with different turbo, injectors, MAF, etc.
I personally have used that info to convert both of our cars to the flashable M4.4 ECUs. I've used it more for adjusting to non-stock components (Different injectors, turbos, etc) and not as much for highly detailed tuning, but the capability is there.

The M4.4 ECUs are pretty easy to write in boot mode. As I know, it is write only mode. Does anybody know, is there a way to read flash content through K-line? I don't like to solder out and back flash chip every time I need to save original file.
If my English is bad, please correct me

Merci Matt,
I do understand better to what that is used for.

There is no way (currently) to read what is on the flash.
I would keep your original ECU and have a spare for tuning/flashing. This is what I do.
You'll always have the copy of the previous tune file saved, so you can always reflash that if you have an issue.
