Sport Edition lol.

That means ... one day the dealer decided to call that car a Sport Edition because maybe it would sell better. Or the CL person who wrote that ad made it up.

Like the 850 Sportswagon edition that was so popular in the NE area of the US. Here's a list of the extra goodies you get with a Sportswagon:
(1) Plastic Badge glued to back liftgate.

That 850 looks pretty nice, but he has no idea what he's talking about. "Sport Edition"? Did he get one of those Autozone badges? And nearly $6k is outrageous for an NA 850. I could buy a nice 850R for that kinda money.

Does seem a high price for the mileage. Bonus is it is a stick shift and a turbo. Maybe bad pictures, but rear shot makes the rear part look a different color to the rear door forward.

It's not, turbo M56 850s were never sold stateside. Plus it's a GLT, which was NA in '96.

The mileage is pretty low, it's just the fact that it's an NA 850 for nearly $6k!

The only reason I thought it may be a turbo is because they call it (probably wrongly) a Sport. The Sportwagen 850 was a turbo.

In the US, the Sportswagon 850 was whatever car the dealer decided to glue the badge onto that day. My first 96 NA 850 wagon came with one of those silly badges. It was a dealer marketing thing, nothing to do with the factory or the build of the car.

Maybe a marketing thing. Only ones I have seen up here were turbos.

I didn't know you could put a s60 engine in a 99.. maybe that's why it isn't running. but the post says it's a manual and it looks pretty clean with some apparently expensive bits on it.
