Interchangeable parts from v70 to 97 850 sedan? Topic is solved

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

I do apologise, I tried my best to use the correct Americanisms. P/N 1372541 for the 850s, though oddly this brings up nothing on volvopartswebstore. It is the fibreglass panel at the front of the car that the hood latches into, the headlights, washer motors, and horn bolt into.

EDIT: Found it, after much searching. P/N: 9151585, superseded by 1372541 (1372542 for the option without holes/fasteners for the headlight wipers). I've still quite no idea what this would be referred to stateside though.

Can the door handles from the sv70 swap to the 850? The fiberglass handles are a concern with the prickles.

They are interchangeable.
'97 850 2.5 20v / fully equipped / Motronic 4.4 from the factory / upgraded with S,V,C,XC70 instrument cluster / polar white wagon

Sure are, was one of the first things I did for mine. Not entirely interchangeable though, you wont be able to swap the door lock cylinders over.

A slam panel would also be known as a core support, as in supports the radiator core., at least in the traditional vernacular.
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

Called a ‘ front section’ you Volvo. I fruitlessly searched for it in the Body section, but of course could find Cookeh 850 front section because....

He used a part number

I’m seeing fewer p80s in junkyards, residence time is under one month, and I’ve developed an allergy to 90F heat and junkyards.

It’s much more lucrative to bywhole cars, harvest parts at home while drinking lemonade, and cashing out $200 scrap metal at end.

My 1999 v70 part out got the attention of the IRS annuities division

Yes I spent 4 hours one time without water and then 4 hours another time hydrated and both times, I came out SUPER dry throat. Of course at the end of the all-you-can-carry events, my heart felt like it was gonna pop.
I also agree about buying a whole car is better. I might do that on the side besides my SSI. Also I'm considering buying cheaper Volvos that need work done, do that work, then sell for profit.
