I’ve noticed that our 2004 XC90 AWD has been taking longer to crank lately, up to nearly 3 seconds after turning the key. By comparison, my ‘98 T5 starts immediately.
Is there something I should be checking? Thanks in advance.

Just tried this, and it still takes just as long.

Good to know! We bought it a year ago with 80k miles on it. Fingers crossed that a new fuel filter will help. Anything else I should look to swap out?

Hold off on that fuel filter swap. It seldom helps and you can break the fittings which get you into a rabbit hole.
I’ve opened them up at 100k and found them pristine.

The diagnostic is fuel pressure at rail. If you don’t want to wait ( maybe next weekend?) you can buy a throwaway pencil tire pressure gauge and measure it that way. ( you throw it away because itsfull of gas)
