Turbo? Yeah that'd be cool. Wonder if the EM from the s80 t6 fits. Then I could fit 2x 13g on there or so. And a set of blue injectors. :D Although I think the openings on the s80 exhaust bracket are smaller than that.

If you use a T6 stock equipment on that 960 it would be insane! I have often said on MVS that the 960/S90 would have been the REAL ultimate driving machine! With the T6 engine that is$! Sorry to those Bavarian Money Waster "Abscate BMW reference here" lovers out there!!! Really the NA engine is fine for a luxury car. In my opinion that is! All this talk of 960s is making me really wish I still had mine...!!! June

Does that mean the exhaust manifold from s80 t6 would fit? 98 xc uses 13g turbo. Technically I have 2 of them. What turbo model does the s80 t6 use? There are turbo 960 and sv90 models in other markets like Europe and Russia.

The T6 uses Mitsubishi TD03 turbos I believe. I didn't know they ever made a turbo 6 until the S80 T6. I am curious if a hybrid between a T6 and a NA 960 2.9 could be made? June

Thank you for that info. I looked it up. The exact model is TD03-08g. Mine are TD04-13g. I can't find specs on 8g to see how close it is to 13g. If they are interchangeable, imagine how much more powerful this 2.9 could be with 2x 13Gs than one with 2x 8Gs. Would love to find specs to see if the bigger turbo could fit, and if the exhaust on s80 t6 could fit on the NA 2.9. The difference might be about 320hp compared to the normal 280hp.

Thank you so much Abscate! To those of you who have never owned or driven a 960 and think it's just a 940 with a 6 cylinder shoved under the hood. Please watch this video! Then you may understand why our brother is so pleased with his new to him 960! June

P.S. Abscate it is funny no woman driver shown as Volvo was the Soccer Mom's car of choice back in 1995!

Did you mean 180? If you use m4.4, then i believe i recall some people mentioning how the dissassembly for the 5 cylinder engine management also contained flags for the 6 cylinder management. It may have been by the recently dead ARD tuners though.

I recall a donutmedia video on richard petty a while back. I believe they threw a v8 into a v90 and gave it the beans.

Anyways, in terms of safety if it has sips then you should be fine at most low speed <= 60 kmh collisions.

Are there wiring diagrams readily available for the 960?
