Did you mean 180? If you use m4.4, then i believe i recall some people mentioning how the dissassembly for the 5 cylinder engine management also contained flags for the 6 cylinder management. It may have been by the recently dead ARD tuners though.

I recall a donutmedia video on richard petty a while back. I believe they threw a v8 into a v90 and gave it the beans.

Anyways, in terms of safety if it has sips then you should be fine at most low speed <= 60 kmh collisions.

Are there wiring diagrams readily available for the 960?
I will NOT Americanize (made up word) my Swedish car. Not a V8. Ford tried Americanizing the 99-03 s80 t6 with a GM tranny that's made for a weak American N/A V6.
No the 1999-2006 s80 t6 models didn't come with 180hp; almost, if not right at, 280hp. Upgrading from 2x 8g to 2x 13g would be a good performance increase. Not something the 99-03 t6 could handle. Aisin transmissions are good. I would like an M90 for my 960. That'd rock!

But 280 ft. Pounds of torque. Perhaps that's the 280 number. June

No Ford did not. Europe got the S80 T6 in 1998. They were not exported to the US until the 99 year model which were on the lots here months before Ford bought Volvo. Had Ford owned Volvo it likely would have pushed a Ford AXOD rather than the 4T65. Aisin didn't make a transmission that could fit. June

Ah i see, you are T6 swapping it, i was quoting the 960 base power.

Also, would the swap be similar to an RN swap in terms of the engine?

No, I'm going to attempt to only use the exhaust manifold from t6 and possibly 13Gs from 2x 98 XC. This is will be a while down the road. I've still gotta go on a road trip and then get my XC up and running.
