With a little helper I got the bottom of the Air box replated.

Found two of the three FCM connectors. Picked them out of a Ford Flex. Out of four Flexs on the yard three where missing the entire fan assembly. On the fourth one the fan assembly was damaged in a crash but the FCM was gone, that is the one I got the connectors from. Stuff must be in high demand. At least I got the polarity figured out.

Darn! ... need to make a trip back to the yard. There are eight Ford Edges that use the same FCM.

Looks like I need some stronger springs on the front. Might try some struts from a XC90 V8.
Anybody know if they are the same length?

Perhaps you could get a helpful stock clerk at IPD or FCP to go measure in their warehouse. I would expect the XC90 to be longer. It does not look bad, just a little aggressive rack.

I can measure the length at the local LKQ. The cars are on stands, wheels are off the ground.

There are three different springs for the XC90. Guessing 5, 6 & 8 cylinder.

Another option: Tweak it with spring spacers.

I had thought of that, but think it is rather crude. I higher spring rate is more suitable.

Based on the fact Quick Struts fit:
1. X60, X70 & X80 but not XC90.
2. 5 & 6 cylinders but not 8 cylinders

Looks like the X60, X70 & X80 struts are all the same length but the spring is significantly different for the 4.4L.
My best bet is the springs from a S80 with a 4.4. If I can find one of them rare birds.

That may work, but how similar are the P3 springs to the P2 springs?
