Darn it, forgot to check fitment by year ... the S80 4.4 are all P3. Don't know how similar the P2 vs P3 springs are.

Yep... that's the biggest problem I see with using the S80 springs. Perhaps some sort of coilover setup for the S60 that's stiffer than the stock springs?

I'll take measurements on the S60 then compare them to the struts on a XC90 4.4 which are all P2. Might be able to use the whole strut from a XC90 or the springs maybe the same length and diameter.

I think we can pretty much rule out going back to 4C struts. Wait a sec ... are the 4C rears self-leveling? If so might be a good idea just wait and see what it does.

I'm not sure if they're self-leveling, but that could be worth looking into. I don't THINK they are, but I'm not too familiar with the FourC system.

With the exceptions of Headlight wiring, Radiator fan wiring, Fog lights, Cold Air Intake and a Power Steering line that needs spliced. It done from the firewall forward.

The headlight wiring threw me a curve. Had it all figured out on paper. Went to do it and the colors on the S60 side do not match the S60 EWD. Tried to do it by connector pinout. There are two connectors that are not in the EWD. I am thinking get the headlights from a 2005 - 2008 S60. They are a better match for the wiring, connectors and a CEM-L.

Measured some XC90 struts. Same total length and same spring length. Forgot to measure the spring diameter. But still looks like I could use the Struts of a XC90 4.4L.

I did a little searching on Craig's List for S80 with 4.4 V8. I found 4-5 in the $5 to 12K range. No clunkers.

Hum ... due to the weight difference between a S60 and a XC90. One would think any XC90 front springs should lift the front end some.
