Wow, that looks clean! I bet it'll clean up really nicely. And only 17k miles? That's crazy! Just make sure you do a timing belt and other services... 20 year old timing belt is no bueno.MoVolvos wrote: ↑19 Aug 2020, 00:04So many $1K with potential.

The address on Realtor.com shows the current owners purchased in 2005 so the car sat for 15 years after they moved in.MoVolvos wrote: ↑19 Aug 2020, 00:04So many $1K with potential.

1998 Volvo V70XC in Boulder, CO.
Looks very similar to my 850 mechanically (I really want to test drive this thing...).

If I weren't a student with an 850 that runs pretty well, I'd probably buy this right now and fix it up. Alas, as a student I don't have $2200 to spend.
Also, here in Boulder we are very lucky to have Swedish Motors who are... Well brilliant so.

From personal experience I'd be a little worried about other wear items at that mileage. And I guess I'd hope the torn CV boot hasn't compromised the axle since (also from personal experience) aftermarket axles seem to be junk. Seems like justifying the price would depend how thick the maintenance records are.

At 250k miles... You really just don't know what could be lurking under the hood.
Also that headliner is shockingly saggy... Personally though, I'd gladly deal with that just to have a wagon!
