Wow, that looks clean! I bet it'll clean up really nicely. And only 17k miles? That's crazy! Just make sure you do a timing belt and other services... 20 year old timing belt is no bueno.

They took it down from Craigslist. It is Eurasian Auto, I seen the car Monday as I drove by on my way to LQK.

The address on Realtor.com shows the current owners purchased in 2005 so the car sat for 15 years after they moved in.

Unfortunately, the owner has not replied to my text, call nor email

. There are two U-Hauls close to their home. Oh well, friend and I were ready to make the road trip and rent a one way dolly for around $120 to tow it back home. Perhaps someone with a local number can find out if it's still available.

1998 Volvo V70XC in Boulder, CO.

Looks very similar to my 850 mechanically (I really want to test drive this thing...).

If I weren't a student with an 850 that runs pretty well, I'd probably buy this right now and fix it up. Alas, as a student I don't have $2200 to spend.
Also, here in Boulder we are very lucky to have Swedish Motors who are... Well brilliant so.

From personal experience I'd be a little worried about other wear items at that mileage. And I guess I'd hope the torn CV boot hasn't compromised the axle since (also from personal experience) aftermarket axles seem to be junk. Seems like justifying the price would depend how thick the maintenance records are.

Oh yeah. I've shown it to my parents and they've said the same things.
At 250k miles... You really just don't know what could be lurking under the hood.

Also that headliner is shockingly saggy... Personally though, I'd gladly deal with that just to have a wagon!
