I made a walkthrough of my 1996 960 and posted it on my channel as my first video. I know June was looking forward to it and I sent her separate p.m. but for those of you in general here is my YouTube channel. The second video is my car accident in my 1998 V70 XC with the black 2018 GMC Acadia. I will soon be releasing my inventory video. I accidentally deleted the last one (second attempt).

I think you did a excellent job! I watched it on my 75 inch tv and thought portrait mode is fine for tv viewing. After all it's not a movie. You are quite talented if that was your third try! To those naysayers just try to get a unedited nearly 30 min video to look and flow that well with only three trys!
What I liked best is the happiness in your voice!!! It reminds me of my feeling toward my 960. Your feelings are 100% right on with my memory. I loved the buttons being on the dash, the separate mirror controls, the tail lights, the comfortable seats, excellent steering wheel, rear wheel drive with standard positive traction and independent rear suspension. I cannot think of anything I did not like about the 960. It rides down the interstate like a Lincoln Town Car but handles corners like a BMW. A excellent example of a luxury sedan!
By the way be sure the hood struts are identical to the factory ones as those red clips are meant to be pushed to extend the hood nearly to the windshield to allow easy access to the rear of the engine compartment. Volvo really thought of everything! 940 were different I believe.
I dislike the standard wheels too! Those shown on this picture were my choice of the optional wheels and in my opinion the best looking on the sedan. Consider finding a set rather than the ones you are thinking about. That's just my thoughts seeing all wheels on 960s in person new. My S90 had a busier spokes type optional wheels, but I liked the ones on my 960 better. Very few 960s had optional wheels. You almost had to order them. June

Mercedes has had the release latch to tilt the hood up to vertical since the 80's. It was almost a necessity with the Mercedes grill attached to the hood. It is a very useful feature for working under the hood.

Thank you! I definitely enjoy everything about the 960, although Id totally take a wagon if i found one. Perhaps if I did find a wagon, I could get that and sell this to you. Im currently waiting to install the new carrier support bearing for driveshaft and whatever new seal kit i need fore the fuel rail.June wrote: ↑21 Aug 2020, 14:57CIK7 wrote: ↑20 Aug 2020, 19:58 I made a walkthrough of my 1996 960 and posted it on my channel as my first video. Ive never seen those wheels before! They look good. I was thinking about putting my v70 t5 wheels on the 960 but the tires are dry rotted now. Only had them about 8 months.
