Try doing a test-fit by pulling your bumper off and checking mounting position, clearances, and how you would route the lines. I'd agree, second one looks better. If you have a junkyard available, you could also pull a trans cooler and the lines off of an XC90 and mount that (which is what I just did). This might be helpful:
And when you go to refill your ATF:

The hayden cooler its very expensive in italy for the expedition charge from the usa and i cant find an xc90 at the yard.
I think to mount the 2 cooler whit a metal plate bent and holded by bolt at the metal frame under the bumper. And plumb it by cutting the tube add a magnefine filter and barbed 10mm/3/8 joint whit other idraulics tube.

Unfortunately in italy the automatic trasmission its uncommon and a thechnisian its not skilled on it. The rare trasmission shop charge a lot for every little things and suggest a complete rebuild every time.
Im a car mechanichs too. I done my self timing, pvc, complete front suspension sterring bracket ecc. But im scared too manage trasmission stuff

It is difficult to screw up anything during oil cooler installation. Transmission has a pressure relief valve inside that limits a fluid pressure that is diverted to the cooler. So the flow inside the cooler and hoses has a relatively low pressure.
