My buddy has a 2004 Subie wagon*. I feel like I'm sitting on the floor when I go anywhere with him, like most 80s-90s-2000s Subaru, Toyota, Honda cars and trucks. The seats simply don't raise high enough. It's a high-trim Outback Sport, so it's not a matter of an economy trim seat issue.
* Subaru couldn't get enough of the hood scoop back then, which might have been a design requirement for the boxer nature of their engines
