The pictures help me because they stay in memory. The next time I’m facing a -1998 SERP belt I will remember that neat adapter trick, whereas the text will be forgotten.

If you have a spare wheel nut and a rotary tool then you can make a free tensioner adaptor in 5 mins. Lop the threads off and grind two opposing corners off. Use a long 19mm spanner for leverage. Job jobbed.
