I really appreciate these kind of tall tales where they start with something doubtful and suck you in to the next lines.

When I was 17, I had a '65 ford pick-up that had rusted out along the cab mount on the passengers side. Popped right up through the floor. So 3/4" plywood for the floor and Pressure Treated 2 x 4 wedged from the frame up to the top of the fender well. Held in place with a cable and turnbuckle. Fully adjustable

For Volvo it’s 19mm plywood and 5x10 cm lumber of course

Fixed fuel leak with hose between rollover valve and tank
New fuel filter
FIred up and got hot - no coolant leaks!

ALternator light off, but system voltage low and eventually coded for same. Battery down to 9.4Volts

ALternator is probably pulling massive current through shorted diode, have spare.

No leaks or drips, ran gears up through 3rd to clean up rotors a bit.

30 minutes run time

Heck of a find, for sure =)
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Major progress and some good signs of 'positivity' with exception of the alternator of course!

MVS could have a new sticky thread for cheapest ride from spare parts pile. Of course, moderators would not be able to participate.
