I’ve been contacted by the Museum of Modern Art

Even the rust has rust. Amazing.

I got lucky with those sway bar links. Wire brushed them, sprayed with PBB, the put three pumps pressure up on the link with the floor jack. They then zipped off with the Bosch hand impact and 15mm hex?

The pressure up acts as a counter hold so you don’t have to fuss with the Torx. Wisechatmgr and Indeveloped this technique , the Jack Counter Hold MVS (tm) last year

Just spent $100 for nuts and bolts for front end. Have to hide this post or else my Scottish friend will be asking me for the used ones.

The big button for me to push will be the steering rack. Would love to find a used one for $100 or so, but labor to get out is grueling.

I thnk thats the last thing I have to spend money on here. I just got a karmic load of about 80% of the spare parts that are marginal, and now I can replace on the cheap.

I think its about time we constructed a nut and bolt spreadsheet detailing the thread pitch, grade, and full dimensions of every bolt in these cars in order to avoid paying $100 for $1s worth of steel.

Wow, that poor car did sit for a long time. Amazing how much rust there is on even the pulleys and mech. tensioner.

What are you going to do with all the rusty bolts..................?

Getting a good steering rack is a challenge. Pity you don't live closer. I have a stashed one in the 'just-in-case' pile in the storage facility. Shipping is the killer again. Do Erie have one and how much do they charge?
