Heico V70 turbo, how to figure out what's been done

Post by westrock »

Just bought a 2006 V70 Turbo with the Heico badge on the back tail gate. The car has obviously been lowered, with Heico labeled dual exhaust, but I don't know if the ECU has been messed with; any way to find out?

Set up an inexpensive vacuum/boost gauge and see what the max boost psi comes out at. Many years ago Heico was a big name, especially amongst the R crowd.

If your V70 is an R or T5 it’ll make around 12psi in stock form. If it’s 2.5T it’ll make 7-8psi. If it’s greater than those numbers it’s got a tune.
