XC70 has lost the ability to open the rear trunk hatch

Sorry for the delay. Here is a photo of the relay which is behind the panel on the driver side in the trunk.

Just had the same issue with my 2002 v70 xc and switching out this relay did the trick. Thanks!

how do I find the relay that I need to replace?
do you have a name for the relay to search on?

You could try pulling them out one at a time and using your remote to activate the unlock feature of the trunk and when you don’t hear the click anymore you’ve pulled a right relay. You can find a duplicate relay in the fuse panel in the engine compartment also just a test.
