Got this Volvo basically back to stage 0 with help of some of you here at MVS. Bought it last year and since then I’ve replaced:
All tires
Headliner
PCV system
Timing belt and associated pulleys
Water pump
Battery
Plugs, wires, coil
Turbo hoses with silicone hoses
Fuel filter
Headlights with OEM glass lenses
All coolant and heater hoses, even the small one from turbo to engine that is a pain
Heater core
Misc interior bits
Vacuum hoses
Oil change/trans fluid flushed a few times
Bilstien struts
Pads/rotors all 4 wheels
Front brake ss hoses
Blower motor for vents (with a working motor from my parts car)
I also have a bunch of spare parts from a 850 parts car
She drives smoothly and well. I drive it daily but only put about 600 miles or so. Mileage will go up, but not too much b/c i dont drive many miles with work from home status.
It’s a great car and seems to be very reliable. The AC does not cool, but the vents do work. Evaporators are known to fail and I have parts for it. I plan to replace the evap to get working ac in the next few weeks.
