I think if they are over 100k miles, they are worn out.

The rattle is resolved - it was the link kit (turn stabilizer).
However, there's still a clunk.
It happens most when coming to a stop and then accelerating hard but doesn't always happen.
Sometimes a clunk, sometimes sounds more like a short sharp creaking sound.
