It’s hard not to eye roll at the ‘plugged fuel filter’ diagnosis. Unlike Uncle Joe’s era, gas stations sell a lot cleaner product than the past, and we rarely see fuel systems getting gunked up.
This fuel filter came off a 1998 and ran 22 years and 180,000 miles, the fuel system was pristine inside , despite the filter being ‘ near end of life’

I am reusing P2 filters on my 1977 Ford truck. Just back flush the crud and install inline with hose clamps. I figure it is big enough not to cause flow restriction.

Look at how the top, which collects the fuel to be sent the injectors is pristine, while the rest of the filter is a dumpster fire.

It's just envy, because I'm never smart enough to use a kinda clead drain pan to catch the Volvos' oil so I could reuse it for the diesel T4... Maybe by the time I grow up I will get organized.
