Still stuck on bolts 6,7. Gave them 5 minutes of propane heat and rattled half the battery charge of the Big Green Beast
Lots of detritus coming from the threads but no motion. I think I will escalate to lift and oxy on these two

It is crazy how some bokts can withstand so much forced love without moving or ripping the head off.

This one went on hold during the frigids of January and February.
But we are back.
In the next two weeks we will get it up on a lift and get the last two subframe bolts out, drop it.
Repair/replace all fuel lines.
Replace two stays 9200005
Clean and lube the AWD driveshaft and resintall
Then turn our attention to the running gear - she has been starting and running great.
I have had trouble finding the last bolt spec - the 8th rear subframe bolt which is mid car????

Talking with abscate we identified the 7th bolt (not 8th?) as the bolt holding the front VC housing bush to the bottom of the car.
I have a large circular item in the garage lined with a plastic bag just for that filter!! Have you re-fitted the other bolts before trying to remove these last 2? Have you tried to torque them further first before loosening them?
It may not help, but try drilling a small hole large enough for a nozzle hose for a PB Blaster can and try spraying a bunch into the area above the bolt on a regular basis before you tackle the job again. The issue (and you can't believe it until you see it) is the aluminum around the hole in the sub-frame 'melts' and fuses with the steel bolt. Unless you can find a way to break that bond, you are probably down to what I did and shear the heads off the bolts, and then drop the sub-frame and extract the remaining bolts. They are a lot easier to do when not bonded to the sub-frame.
Neil.

Perhaps drill a hole in from head of the bolt to near the area of the suspected bi-metal corrosion and hit it with heat in the hole. This will get the heat closer to the problem and should help.
