I tried to do an on-demand, but it was way too far from the boiler location to the far bathroom, and they say they'll often cycle hot-cold-hot-cold as the signal is sent to the heater. They are flow-switch governed, so you turn the hot wide open to warm it up, it turns on full heat. You're getting plenty of hot, you close up the valve. It senses lower flow, turns off the heat.

So then how did the water get warm to begin with ? What your describing is the old fashion Acme Warm Water Heater. That was introduced right after their Water Heater.

Today I set up the radial arm saw and ripped the cedar boards to proper width for door trim. I will prepaint them to avoid masking and edge painting. Yesterday I painted the fireplace outside ash door. I previously replaced the mortar and one brick around the ash door.

Recently completed house repairs: Removed and installed new, painted cedar boards for back door trim. Repainted the back door. Applied caulking around trim and touched up paint. Reinstalled the storm door and aligned the door better.
Removed and relaid top bricks at edge of garage door. Cut, painted and installed new trim on sides of the garage door. Recaulked the edges of trim boards. Touched up paint on the trim boards. Admired the improved look.
