My P2 S80 also has a 60K replacement schedule. I have kept that schedule but in addition if the belt is removed during a repair it is replaced rather than reinstalled. Even at Volvo the belt is cheap, so why put the old one back? I truly don't understand the thinking behind not keeping with Volvo's maintenance schedule. Such as over 100K on a belt scheduled for a 60K replacement. A replacement car is much more expensive than a couple of belts or a few more oil changes that will extend the car's life? June

I was only at 80k on my last replacement. The one before might have been a bit longer, just a tad, wee bit.... 140k [size]

I changed it when I first got the car at 94k, I don’t know if it was original. It’s 5 years later and the car has 235k. I’m replacing cam seals, tb, and wp, so I’m throwing a new serpentine on in the process. It’s not showing any cracks, but I figured it is cheap insurance.

Pretty much all rubber and plastic parts in the engine compartment have a much shorter lifespan on turbo cars due to the much higher under hood temperatures. My NA has about 120K on the serp belt with no cracking or any sign of deterioration.
