I've got a few orders coming soon, but I'm still wondering wether I should replace the hydraulic timing belt tensionner or not ?
The timing belt was replaced about 3 years ago afaik, but I dont know if the tensionner was.
And if buy a new one, what brand should I go for ?

I am totally comfortable letting the hydraulic tensioners go a couple intervals i.e. 150k miles. If I don't know the history and the mileage is up there, I give it a new one and reset the counter.

For brand, Aisin (or Volvo) only on the hydraulic tensioner.

If the engine is out, to have a look to hoses thats stay in the bay, and control heating hoses too.

The Aisin is quite cheap (half the blue box price) so I will buy a new one.
