Chassis Identification for parts Topic is solved

Is it safe to assume that since most part numbers for the s60 use a 6digit chassis number (CH) that if in the case where it only shows 5digits that a "0" should be infront of the remaining 5digits? So this position sensor would fit 092352 and above chassies?

It is a sequential number - the first chassis made would be 1, which is the same as 00001. A some point when more than 5 digits is required they will add a number or change a letter to reflect.

By the way, no need to replace that bracket, can just use some RTV to stick the sensor in

Leading zeros are placeholders. Necessary because All VIN numbers from 1981- present are required to be 17 characters in length.
