VIDA 2014D . I am using Win 7 Pro 64 bit 3.8G mem. Nearly new install. One small audio interface program added.
All vehicle profile info is entered.
The diagnostics tab is 'greyed' .
Communication tool box- has an "x" in the top right corner. No selections are able, to be made.
I get ( object does not support method or 'DiagnosticAllowed' ) after entering vehicle information.
Dice did connect to computer with external power supply and USB. Tests OK with Dice program diagnostic,
other than the 'interface test' as that seems to require some sort of test connector. Firmware 5.6.2 .Hardware Ver. 1.4.3 .
Dice is not connected to any vehicle at this time.
software tab opens and says "Software Download Manager failed to load..."
Other tabs (information, work list) seem to work ok.
Any help with getting this functional would be great. Thanks
Object doesn't support property or method 'DiagnosticAllowed' vida 2014D

This particular problem with my particular program(2014D), may have been Java plugin not enabled/installed.
Be sure sure you have updated your Patch license text to a future date or you will never be able to log in.
I used a new install of Win 7 pro. No updates. Removed IE11. Installed IE 9. Installed latest Java.
Installed Patch file with Vida running in tray (green Arrow). Restart. Click on "All in One". Enabled plugins, just prior to login, through pop up. Login in as 'admin' or '1'.

I cannot get Diagnostics to work on VIDA. I installed VIDA on a laptop with windows10 using IE11.
When using IE11 I get this error message after selecting my vehicle:
OBJECT DOESN'T SUPPORT PROPERTY OR METHOD DIAGNOSTICALLOWED
I added the IE tab to Google but still cannot connect to Diagnostics. Here's the error when opening VIDA with Google Chrome:
getCommToolSettingObject(...).DiagnosticAllowed is not a function
I added the patch again and reboot but still cannot get Diagnostic to function with IE11 nor Chrome?

Win 7 Pro only, for my version. Win 10 is totally different. If your version wasn't designed for Win 10, you may need to change your operating system or search the net for Win 10 info on this. The good news is Win 7 Pro is available cheap. A clean hard drive with no previous failed installs is a good idea too. I was painful and took very many hours/days, to get mine correct. My post above may or may not help you but I'd take a serious look at it.

2014D can be installed on WIN10. I had it installed on my other laptop with same operating system.
The problem was with JAVA. Did a clean re-install now I cannot login. Problem now is the patch not working.

"Be sure sure you have updated your Patch license text to a future date or you will never be able to log in." Have you done this? It MUST be done. I believe it is in a text file within the patch. If the date is a past date, just change the date to a future date. You may need to remove the program and possibly the OS and reinstall everything, if it still does not work. I know it's all time consuming and frustrating but expect it to be..it seems these always are.

I installed WIN 7 over a year ago and it fixed this error:
Anybody know how to get it running on Window 10?
The license has been updated so it's not the culprit.
My laptop recently upgraded from WIN 7 to WIN 10 and this same issue returned.XC70Rider wrote: 04 Jan 2019, 14:36 I cannot get Diagnostics to work on VIDA. I installed VIDA on a laptop with windows10 using IE11.

FYI, You may or may not be aware of this - Most if not all are Win7 only..there may be a compatible program for Win 10 available but it is certainly not the one I used. Good Luck
