That's a pretty good idea. I wouldn't just limit it to those bolts though, since new bolts are outrageously expensive from Volvo.

They are getting ridiculous expensive from anywhere. I remember when I use to by hardware, bolts washers .. ect by the pound at Town and Country Supply at a real low price. You when through the hardware section, tossed everything you wanted in a bag and they weighed it at the checkout counter.

Reckon a good hunk of the by the piece price is packaging, handling and a CEO's Ferrari payments. .

These are the M7 x 30 mm black oxide flange bolts that hold the IM on our cars.

They are not easy to source outside the Volvo parts world.

Please harvest these - I would like to coalesce a large collection of 25 or so and can send on to those in need.

That's a pretty good idea. I wouldn't just limit it to those bolts though, since new bolts are outrageously expensive from Volvo. I just bought a bunch of nuts and bolts from FCPEuro, that are genuine Volvo parts, and they weren't cheap. I think any reusable bolt that can be harvested should be. Volvos are hard to find close to me, but I would grab everything I could, and have several baggies to label what the bolts come out/off of, if there were.

Sutherland's still does it that way, or at least they used to (it's been awhile since I checked). I just went with Volvo hardware from FCPEuro. Since they guarantee everything for life, I shouldn't have to pay for them again. Although sending the old ones back to them may end up costing me in the long run. Still a great deal either way, at least in my opinion.

2005 - 20011 XC90 V8 Part number 30731477. It is a bracket that hangs the exhaust pipes from the transmission. It keep the pipes and manifolds from cracking when the engine torques. One might call it a anti-flex.

1. 2005 - 2011 XC90 and 2007 - 2010 S80 are the only possible donors.
2. If the 6th & 7th digits of the VIN number is anything other then 85, it will not have the part.
85 is the engine code for B8444S. Example: YV4CZ852761302137.

I only found two on Row 52 that would have the part.
2006 XC90, U PULL & PAY Denver, Colorado row 5.
2008 XC90, PULL-N-SAVE South Phoenix, Arizona row 15
