P80 Small boat (500#) trailer mpg report

Normally at 62 mph on flat land the 1999 reports 27 mpg on 91 octane

Pulling a 500# boat 200 miles, I got 20 mpg, 62 mph on cruise

I love that one video robert made of him towing another p80 wagon with his p80 wagon. I can't even imagine the steering nightmare that most have been.

You wouldn't think 500lbs would cause much pull on flat ground once it's up to speed. Is it the drag on a bulky thing you think?

Boats on trailers are not streamlined. Also, the tires (and wheel bearings) may have a lot of rolling resistance.
