FCP lists this Sachs strut as matching the Volvo 31200413 for $100

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... c-30645640

Tasca sells the Volvo 31200413 strut just $14 more at $114

https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/vo ... t-31200413

Since they're just $14 more I'll most likely get the Volvo 31200413 strut from Tasca.

It is difficult to know if it's the exact same part with just a different sticker. But given the small price difference compared to the genuine one, there is a chance it's the same. Both made in Turkey now. As I was saying in a video, Sachs switched shocks production from Germany to Turkey. A owner even received one German and one Turkish shock - guess until the German stocks will empty. Volvo has dropped the shocks price lately, before these were quite more expensive.

'Sachs' $100 https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 70-554-046
'Genuine' $140 https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 70-8667253
Same ?

The genuine Volvo shock replacements have many part numbers, not sure what is the difference but it changes from year to year, engine, transmission, etc. While Sachs offers only 2-3 part numbers, basically different qualities.
By the way, Fcp did a mistake calling the shock absorber a strut. Strut is the complete assembly of shock, spring and top plate.
