Seat heater and memory problem

I have two problems with my driver's seat.

1) The heater no longer works for the driver's seat while the passenger seat heater works fine.

2) The buttons for the seat position memory do not work to move the seat to the saved position while the mirrors do move to the save position. The seat does move to the save position for the key when unlocking the car and opening the door.

I'm not sure if the two are related, but given the behavior of the seat memory I think there may be some sort of communication problem. I did the "read" button + rear fog button to see if there were any DTCs stored and I the following modules have DTCs: CEM, DDM, PDM, CCM, PSM,and UEM. I do have the siren module disconnected since its battery went bad and leaked and that might be the reason for the UEM. I do not have VIDA so I cannot get the specific DTCs at this time.

Has anybody had a similar problem? I'm thinking about removing and inspecting the connections for the CEM in the hopes that there may be a bad connection at the CEM.

I dropped the CEM today and inspected the connector. Everything looks clean and pristine. Now I'm giving thought to getting a VIDA tool to get the trouble codes.

Vida is a must in my home garage, even if it doesn't solve the problem, sooner or later you'll need it for something.
