No PEM on 2001-2002
As for the engine stall, very scary. It happened on the highway and even once on the city highway with no way to pull safely. All stalls happened when the tank was low, in warm summer days, after having driven for 30-60 minutes on highway. The engine would simply die all of a sudden, strangely mostly when slowing down with the traffic, with all electrics still working. Most times I could simply switch to N then turn the key and restart the engine while still rolling, then switch to D and keep driving without a single problem. Another time it would not restart until I removed the key from ignition (car was stopped). Besides these moments, the car would perform perfectly at all speeds and rpm.

Yes. You can double check it in VIDA: ECM has the "Fuel pressure" parameter if PEM is present.

The ECM Parameters only list Fuel Tank Pressure. Does it mean PEM is missing OR failed?
The Fuel Tank Pressure value at POS II is -0.25.

A quick search, the PEM module for 2001 V70XC with emission "D" and chassis range is https://parts.volvocarslisle.com/p/Volv ... 42823.html -- check the tab "WHAT THIS FITS".

VIDA for my 2006 XC90 V8 is saying 50% duty cycle +-10. Not 35% as all the commentary suggests. Hmm?
