Missing connection of glow plug relais

Post by Thorsten »

Hi Volvo community,
I'm a new user of this very useful forum and last but not least I have also a "new" family member which is a Volvo V50 2,0D.
I bought this vehicle with a blocked engine and fixed everything. The car is running again but after several days /weeks of repairing the engine I finally have a wire left unconnected.
This wire (see pic attached) is a green wire connecting the glow plug relais.
I really can not remember where this cable was connected. I'm also not sure if this relais set up (fitted on left side just in the engine bay under the left side fender) is a original set up. I have checked another 2006 V50 2,0d and this car hasn't have this relais at this position fitted.
Anyway I would be very happy if someone could give me some information where to connect this cable!
Might be connected in the fuse box to a terminal which will be powered up with ignition on (+15?). Not sure.

Thanks for any help.
Cheers
Thorsten

Hello again,

is there really nobody out there who could help or has any idea how to connect this cable!?
would be very helpful if I could get from someone a wiring diagram of the glow system. Maybe within this diagram I could find out how to connect the cable!?
Thanks
Thorsten
